Introduction to ICFD solver

The Incompressible Computational Fluid Dynamics (ICFD) solver can be used as a stand-alone CFD solver or coupled with the extremely powerful structural solver available in LS-DYNA. The ICFD solver is therefore the ideal choice for problems involving strongly coupled fluid structure interaction and conjugate heat transfer.

 

This 1-day seminar gives an introduction to the ICFD solver in LS-DYNA. The seminar is recommended for simulation engineers who want to use the ICFD solver to simulate problems involving incompressible fluid flow, fluid structure interaction or conjugate heat transfer.

 

The seminar will give an overview of the features and capabilities of the ICFD solver. The keywords necessary to setup an ICFD simulation will be explained, and the participants will have the possibility to practice on small exercise problems.

 

Prior knowledge:

The seminar is suited for users that want to get started with the ICFD solver. Basic knowledge of LS-DYNA and LS-PrePost is advantageous but not mandatory.
