SIMVEC - Berechnung und Simulation im Fahrzeugbau

New vehicle technologies call for innovative applications and methods in simulation technology. A strict approach to cost management makes the optimization of operations and restructuring of business processes a necessity. The associated challenges for CAE engineers in the automotive industry are the subject of the SIMVEC conference now being held for the 15th time. As a renowned platform for communication, SIMVEC gives specialists in the field an opportunity for an intensive exchange of ideas and experiences.

Conference papers are mainly concerned with applications and experiences from actual practice, focusing firstly on vehicle design, with a special role being given to questions of energy efficiency, and secondly on interlinking numerical analysis with all of the different disciplines in vehicle development.

The interplay of virtual methods with vehicle testing procedures is of outstanding importance. For the first time account is being taken of this aspect in that the traditional VDI conference `Testing and simulation in vehicle development¿ is running in parallel with SIMVEC in Baden-Baden. Registration for either of these two conferences allows participants to attend the other as well. This means an opportunity for an even more intensive exchange of ideas and experiences.
