Verrippte Bauteile – Kugelimpaktversuche und Simulationsergebnisse mit LS-DYNA

S. Hiermaier, F. Huberth (Fraunhofer EMI) Material models for thermoplastic polymers are still subject of research and development. The commonly used material models for crash simulation were developed for metals. This paper shows a way from material data to component testing and simulation for different material models. A state of the art material model “PICEWISE LINEAR PLASTICITY, MAT24” has been chosen as reference. As improved material model for polymers, material model “SAMP-1” is used. The simulations using the different models are compared with experimental data.
