4th GACM Colloquium on Computational Mechanics

31 August – 2 September 2011, Dresden, Germany

The colloquium aims at providing a forum for young scientists both from academia and industry engaged in research on Computational Mechanics and Computer Methods in Applied Sciences, where they may present and discuss results from recent research efforts and non-standard industrial applications. The presentation of work in progress is welcome. Particular emphasis will be given on the exchange of ideas among various fields in Computational Mechanics to support further progress of ongoing research and the initiation of new promising research directions. The main focus of the colloquium, which follows the 3 GACM Colloquium held in Hannover in 2009, is on newtheoretical and methodical developments aswell as new fields of application for Computational Mechanics. The colloquium is hosted by the Technische Universität Dresden and its Institute for Structural Analysis.

Thematically arranged sessions and organized minisymposia in combination with a poster session and social events will provide an environent for lively discussion in an informal atmosphere. Minisymposia are constituted by sessions devoted to a specific scientific area. The organization of minisymposia by young scientists is particular encouraged.

Young scientists from Europe and all other continents are welcome to this colloquium.
