Symposium Virtuelles Fahrzeug, Mai '14

27 - 28 May 2014, Graz, Austria

Interdisciplinary Development of Road and Rail Vehicles
Processes, Methods, Tools, Best Practices

27 - 28 May 2014, Graz, Austria

Complex drivetrains, functional safety or the interaction of vehicle and infrastructure are only a sample of current challenges of vehicle development. More than ever a perfect collaboration of different disciplines is essential to solve these tasks successfully.
How do processes, methods, development tools as well as context-based information allocation help to enable an interdisciplinary perspective of the entire system?

The opening of the symposium GSVF 2014 features two parallel half-day workshops on May 26, 2014. The workshop "Functional Development 2025" will deal with the question of how functional development of vehicles will look like in 10 years and what topics will be in focus. The workshop "Co-Simulation and Realtime Co-Simulation" offers information and exchange on technical aspects, potential, and challenges for its role in building cross-domain virtual prototypes within vehicle development.
