Call for papers for the 14th German LS-DYNA Forum in Bamberg

For LS-DYNA users in the German-speaking area, the LS-DYNA Forum has evolved into one of the key events on simulation over the past 14 years. This year, the 14th German LS-DYNA Forum will take place from10-12 October in Bamberg, Germany.

Stuttgart, 18 April 2016

For LS-DYNA users in the German-speaking area, the LS-DYNA Forum has evolved into one of the key events on simulation over the past 14 years. This year, the 14th German LS-DYNA Forum will take place from10-12 October in Bamberg, Germany.

Besides information about new features in LS-DYNA as well as its associated products, the focus lies on the exchange of experiences among LS-DYNA users. Therefore, the call for papers aims at LS-DYNA users who want to present their applications that were solved with LS-DYNA. Furthermore, all LS-OPT users are also invited to submit a report about their optimization topics. The main focal points of the conference include the simulation areas

  • - Crash simulation
  • - Passenger safety
  • - Metal forming
  • - Material modeling
  • - Material failure
  • - Composites and Lightweight structures
  • - Implicit applications
  • - Optimization
  • - Welding Simulation
  • - Process Simulation
  • - Structural mechanics
  • - Thermomechanics
  • - CFD and fluid-structure interaction

The LS-DYNA user presentations will be supplemented with overview presentations by renowned speakers from industry and academia as well as presentations by software developers from LSTC and DYNAmore, which report on the latest developments and trends in LS-DYNA. In addition, there will be special sessions dedicated to the simulation environment for LS-DYNA:

  • - HPC hardware for LS-DYNA
  • - Use of LS-DYNA on cloud platforms
  • - Simulation Data Management
  • - Modeling tools and CAE process chains

The conference provides an ideal platform to exchange experiences and knowledge about the use of LS-DYNA and the associated CAE process chains with other users. In workshops, attendees have the opportunity to receive an introduction to different application areas of LS-DYNA. Furthermore, there will be seminars before and after the conference dealing with specific topics and new applications of LS-DYNA, such as CFD simulation with LS-DYNA. In the accompanying exhibition, participants will receive information about hardware and software suitable for LS-DYNA. Of course, users of other simulation packages who would like to see the capabilities of LS-DYNA are also very welcome.
